“I am honored to announce that Jon Voight, Mel Gibson and Sylvester Stallone will be special ambassadors to this important, but very turbulent, location of Hollywood, California.”wrote Thursday January 16 on his Truth Social network the Republican billionaire who returns to the White House on Monday.

“They will serve as my special emissaries with the goal of making Hollywood – which has lost a lot in four years to foreign countries – a bigger, better and stronger place than it ever was!”insisted Donald Trump on the network. “These three talented personalities will be my eyes and ears and I will do what they suggest. It will be about rediscovering, as for the United States of America, the golden age of Hollywood!”concluded the Republican who, from Monday, will be the first president in the history of the country to have been criminally convicted. The three actors are among these rare and long-standing supporters of Trump in a film industry that is overwhelmingly pro-Democratic.

The three men, multi-awarded by the film industry, have between them ten Oscar nominations and three of these trophies. Stallone, a 78-year-old New Yorker who played Rambo et Rockyinaugurated a gala for the president-elect in mid-November in his stronghold of Mar-a-Lago in Florida. Jon Voight, 86, known in particular for his roles in Macadam Cowboy (1969), Heat (1995) et Mission impossible (1996), was awarded the National Medal of Arts during Donald Trump’s first term. As for actor and director Mel Gibson, hero of Braveheart and of Mad Max, At 69 years old, he has been an unapologetic ultraconservative for decades.

The 78-year-old future president is rejected by many music and cinema stars. Like Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, Bruce Springsteen and George Clooney who supported Democratic Vice-President Kamala Harris in the presidential election.
