Last Saturday the funeral of Jean-Marie Le Pen was held in La Trinité-sur-Mer, in Brittany (his family owns a house there). The politician, who died last week at the age of 96, was able to count on the presence of his family, his three daughters, Marine, Yann and Marie-Caroline, his wife Jany and his ex-wife Pierrette, both united.
His close friends were also present, like Florent de Kersauson, who told our colleagues to West France to be very satisfied with this funeral, which was held “in the strictest privacy“. Note that Jordan Bardella also attended this event. “I was there, not as president of the National Rally, but like a friend. A friend of Marine Le Pen, from the Le Pen family.”, he made it clear on RTL this Monday, January 13.
“There was no political meaning to my presence. You know, when there is someone you love or for whom you have affection or friendship suffers, you suffer with them. was the purpose of my presence alongside Marine and her family in Brittany.” he added, before responding, a bit annoyed, to Thomas Sotto who asked him if he was angry with Jean-Marie Le Pen, with whom he had several political disagreements: “No, I don’t blame him. And I think that from the moment a person is no longer there, it is not the time to make controversy.”
Another tribute planned for Jean-Marie Le Pen
-A very clear, even authoritarian, response from Jordan Bardella, who however saw Thomas Sotto add a layer on this subject: “Étienne Gernelle said here last week: ‘he brought the subject of immigration into the public arena but he made it radioactive.’ That’s why I’m asking you if you blame him for his excesses.”
To which Jordan Bardella responded this, in all honesty: “Jean-Marie Le Pen had excesses, he was the creator of controversies. He always wanted to be the voice of the voiceless and the rankless. He was the man of his time.“Let us remember that another ceremony”religious and homage” will take place on January 16 at 11:00 a.m., in the Notre Dame du Val-de-Grâce church in Paris. It will be open to the public.
