Hilton lost her Malibu, California, home to the fires currently ravaging Los Angeles County.

Paris Hilton was left heartbroken after watching her Malibu home burn down live on television. In a message posted on social media this Wednesday, the 43-year-old businesswoman and activist revealed that her house had been completely destroyed. She explains that she learned the news while watching the scene live on television.

“I am heartbroken beyond words. ???? I’m sitting with my family, watching the news, and seeing our house in Malibu burning live on . This is something no one should ever have to experience,” said Paris Hilton.

His video shows a reporter from Los Angeles’ ABC 7 news station surveying the damage along the Pacific Coast Highway after the fire started on Tuesday, January 7. “This house is where we built so many precious memories. As of Wednesday afternoon, five people were confirmed dead and more than 1,100 structures destroyed.

The evacuation of Hollywood was ordered on Wednesday, as flames began to devour the hills, a few hundred meters from Hollywood Boulevard and the famous Chinese Theater. Another fire also broke out in the evening in the neighboring Studio City district.
