Protected by Pascal Praud, the 29-year-old took the reins on Monday of “100% politics” on the news channel.
He is one of the television faces of the start of 2025. Gauthier Le Bret took control, this Monday, January 6, 2025, of the program “100% politique”, broadcast from Monday to Friday from 9 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. on CNews.
The young 29-year-old journalist succeeds Julien Pasquet – absent from the air due to parental leave – and has overhauled the show with several new features. “ We are going to offer you different sequences with an editorial that I will open, carte blanche for the columnists, a political duel at 10 p.m., a top/flop every day”he explained in “L’Heure des pros” this Monday on CNews.

Before embarking on this new adventure, Gauthier Le Bret, in fact, cut his teeth on the set of Pascal Praud as a columnist and political editorialist. The presenter of the show also paid tribute to the man he nicknamed “Little Beetle” this Monday, January 6, the date of the young man’s last intervention in “L’Heure des pros” (where he was replaced by Thomas Bonnet): “ The Little Beetle will fly with its own wings. He came every morning and we loved your presence, your temperament, your information as well. You were a columnist, an editorialist”declared Pascal Praud.
The launch of this new version of “100% political” is rather positive. “I was fed a bottle on the show “We’re not lying””
Always passionate about journalism, Gauthier Le Bret made his debut on the radio by collaborating with the station Courant Alternatives Médias, at just 20 years old, and before even starting his studies. Some time later, he began a course at the EFJ (School of New Journalism) then at the Center for Training and Development of Journalists (CFPJ). Graduated in 2020, he completed various internships, including two at Monde and an alternation at Canal +.
First an assistant on the morning show, he then assisted Laurence Ferrari behind the scenes. He made his debut on the small screen during the Covid-19 epidemic: “I started speaking on air to talk about the evolution of the pandemic. Then, I worked on economic columns as a freelancer, which allowed me to juggle between CNews and BFM Business. I also briefly covered health issues at CNews”he told Entrevue last May.
In 2021, he made his dream come true by joining the political service of CNews on the eve of the first round of the regional elections. He then follows Éric Zemmour during his literary tour and then during his presidential campaign.

Making television has always been a strong desire: “If I do television today, it’s because throughout my adolescence I was fed the show “On n’est pas couche”, I watched it every Saturday evening with my father. The two stars of this show remain Naulleau and Zemmour. What’s crazy is that today, I’m sitting next to the first on set and I followed the second on the presidential campaign”he further explained to Interview.
A wedding in Provence last September
Alongside his activities on CNews, Gauthier Le Bret regularly collaborates on “TPMP” on C8 and participates every day in the radio show “On marche sur la tête” presented by Cyril Hanouna on Europe 1 as a columnist. Passionate about theater, he followed the Cours Florent and could also have continued on this path. He also played in the troupe Les Gavroches Chapeautés.
From a personal point of view, the journalist has a perfect love affair with Eloïse Horvath, a teacher of Belgian origin with whom he has been in a relationship since the age of 17. He does not hesitate to appear regularly with his sweetheart on the social network Instagram. Last June, the two lovers said yes to each other civilly before celebrating their marriage a second time in September in Provence.
