The French actor will notably star in the romantic comedy French Loveron Netflix, with Sara Giraudeau. And he will also star in an action film called Shadow Force, directed by Joe Carnahan. The story? That of a separated couple with a price on their heads, who must then flee with their sons to avoid the militia sent to kill them. Omar Sy will share the film’s poster with Kerry Washington, the heroine of a moving Netflix film about a little-known true story. During an interview with Tele-Leisure for the release of Messengers of warwhich moved the spectators, Kerry Washington paid tribute to Omar Sy by discussing the upcoming release of Shadow Force.

“It’s a big film that mixes action film and family love story”first explained Kerry Washington, before mentioning her partner. “I love working with Omar. I think he’s an incredible human being and extremely talented.” Omar Sy, for his part, supported the actress with a beautiful message when she received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at the end of 2024. Kerry Washington, for her part, will also be back on Netflix in 2025, in the casting of one of the streaming platform’s biggest franchises. The actress is in fact part of Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, the third part ofAt loggerheads.

“It was really fun to be a part of such a successful franchise and work with this awesome ensemble of actors, Kerry Washington told us enthusiastically. It was a bit like being part of a small theater troupe or a summer camp, really fun. With notably Daniel Craig, Glenn Close, Andrew Scott… I really liked the first two films, so I can’t wait to see the third.” The interview having been carried out just a few weeks before the end of the year, Kerry Washington gave us her assessment of 2024 as well as her wishes for 2025. “I find that 2024 was a year of great growth and learning for me. I really learned a lot this year. And I hope that in 2025 I can continue to evolve and grow, and also to be able to experience a a little more. Live a life that is a little more authentic and that resembles me.”
