Actress Meghan Markle, wife of Prince Harry, gets into cooking for Netflix

The actress puts her passion for small dishes and tableware to good use in a new series.

Meghan Markle's series dedicated to her passion for cooking will be released on Wednesday January 15 on Netflix, the Duchess of Sussex announced Thursday January 2. “I couldn't wait to share this with you!” Prince Harry's wife explained on Instagram. “I hope you enjoy the series as much as I enjoyed creating it.”

Titled With Love, Meghan [une formule souvent utilisée à la fin d’une lettre] the series follows the actress in her culinary adventures. In a trailer unveiled by Netflix on January 2, we see her, in a large all-white kitchen, concocting different recipes, harvesting honey from a beehive, composing a bouquet and sharing her delicious dishes with her friends. A furtive shot allows us to see Prince Harry, a drink in hand, hugging his wife against him. Meghan explains that she will share little tips and tricks and that “love is in the details”.

After leaving the British monarchy with a bang in 2020, Harry and Meghan participated in a Netflix documentary in which they settled scores with the royal family and the British tabloids.

Last April, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced the continuation of their collaboration with the streaming platform, via two new, less controversial projects: one on the world of polo, a sport practiced for a long time by Harry, and another about cooking and gardening with Meghan. The actress also wanted to launch her own brand, American Riviera Orchard, focused on tableware and homeware.

Since renouncing their royal obligations, Harry and Meghan no longer receive subsidies granted to the family by the United Kingdom. They settled in California and became unpopular with much of the British public.

The couple notably accused royalty of never really accepting Meghan, a mixed-race and divorced American actress. Harry was present at the coronation of his father, Charles III, but without a wife or children. He also went to London, alone, after the king's cancer was announced. Princess Kate also revealed that she was suffering from cancer in March 2024. On this occasion, Harry and Meghan wished “health and healing to Kate and family“, in a brief press release.
