Jean-Pierre Foucault wearing a disco ball style jacket
The election of Miss France 2025 opened with the 30 candidates dancing on a disco board. Jean-Pierre Foucault, who presented his 30th election at Futuroscope, created a surprise by descending from the sky with, behind him, his initials “JPF” in silver letters and wearing an incredible disco ball jacket as well as a red bow tie. “They will illuminate you with their beauty, their elegance and their determination”he said. Former Miss France then appeared on stage including Flora Coquerel, Miss France 2014, Laure Belleville, Miss France 1996, Clémence Botino, Miss France 2020, Diane Leyre, Miss France 2022, Michèle Beaurain, Miss France 1970, Maëva Coucke, Miss France 2018, Rachel Legrain Léonard, Miss France 2007.

Miss Languedoc's big slip
During the opening of the election and while the thirty Misses were swaying their hips in pretty golden sheath dresses, Jade Benazech, Miss Languedoc experienced a mishap in the first seconds of the live broadcast. Surrounded by her 29 companions, she accidentally slipped backwards and, despite everything, managed to miraculously right herself.
The scarves escape
The first table with the first ten candidates took place on a medley from the 60s. Miss Normandy, Réunion, Burgundy, Martinique, Franche-Comté, Poitou-Charentes, Roussillon, Mayotte, Nord-Pas-de-Calais and Provence were danced to a cover of Wax doll, sound doll by France Gall and School is over by Sheila, dressed in gold Paco Rabane-inspired or checkered dresses. As she paraded with a determined step, the scarf of Sabah Aib, Miss Nord-Pas-de-Calais, came loose and hung on her shoulder. That of Marine Futol, Miss Réunion, was returned. It was therefore impossible to read the name of her region as she paraded.

An Avenger on the regional costume chart
Always eagerly awaited, the table of regional costumes once again did not disappoint. Stylists from all over France compete with ideas to create the most representative outfit of their region but also the most original. Last year, that of Miss Lorraine, representing a table with food, made the rounds on social networks. This year again, this region made headlines with a body-hugging costume of its representative Assia Roosz-Tomenti, reminiscent of an Avenger. The regional costumes of Miss Bretagne in a yellow raincoat, Miss Normandy with Mont-Saint-Michel and Miss Île-de-France wearing the wings of the Moulin Rouge (which rotated) also made an impression.

The emotion of Jean-Pierre Foucault
Sophie Thalmann, Miss France 1998 and Laure Belleville, Miss France 1996, entered the stage to pay tribute to Jean-Pierre Foucault who is presenting, at Futuroscope, his 30th Miss France election. The first won in December 1997 by telling the presenter that she wanted to take his place while the second was the first Miss France elected by the presenter, in December 1995. “You are going to crown your 30th Miss France”began Sophie Thalmann. “You supported us when our speech was not always clear, you made us laugh when stress paralyzed us, you congratulated us and you always had that kind little word. You have this little trick”she continued, causing strong emotion in the presenter. Tears welled up in his eyes as a tape recorder played his best moments. Then, the two former beauty queens gave her a scarf with her name embroidered on it. “I wasn’t aware at all! »he exclaimed.

Miss Corsica's call to order
The Miss Midi-Pyrénées, Corsica, Guadeloupe, Champagne-Ardenne, Lorraine, Tahiti, Picardie, Martinique, NPDC, Alsace, Rhône-Alpes, Aquitaine, Côte d'Azur, Normandy and Burgundy were then called among the fifteen semi-finalists . Each in turn, they presented themselves to the public and viewers. Stella Vangioni, Miss Corsica, delivered a fairly long speech. Jean-Pierre Foucault, believing at one point that the latter was over, rewarded the young woman with a « merci ». But she responded “I’m not finished”. ” Hurry up…”continued the presenter, a little annoyed. “I only have one minute to introduce myself…”she continued before finishing her text. Miss Martinique also gave a nice wink by saying that she was going to cut her speech short by subtly touching her… short hair.
A nod to Miss Universe
The fifteen semi-finalists paraded in feathered swimsuits in a Rio carnival style scene and presented themselves at the microphone, announcing their first name, last name and region in the style of Miss Universe candidates. A first in the competition, orchestrated by Stéphane Jarny, the director and artistic director of the election.

Ève Gilles announces her participation in “Dancing with the Stars”
Ève Gilles, Miss France 2024, returns her title during this election. She arrived on stage in a stunning long sequinned strapless dress. After giving her feelings about her year, the dancer Fauve Hautot, who was part of the jury, took the microphone. “Can I ask you a question?” » she began. “Would you like to participate in “Dancing with the Stars”?”she continued. “I would love to!” ». “Welcome to the adventure”then retorted the juror. Miss Nord-Pas-de-Calais responds to racist attacks and Miss Corsica surprises with her response
The five finalists, Miss Corsica, Côte d'Azur, Martinique, Nord-Pas-de-Calais and Guadeloupe were invited to answer questions asked by former Miss France after parading in evening dresses. Diane Leyre asked Miss Nord-Pas-de-Calais, “How would you use your title to inspire younger generations? ». Of Algerian origin on his father's side and Moroccan on his mother's side, Sabah Aib, 18, was the victim of a “wave of racist hatred” on social networks during his regional election. She responded by saying: “Everything is possible even at a young age. (…) I find myself on a set and the diversity is very rich. I could be the first Miss of North African origin and this is a strong message for future generations”.
Miss France 1970, Micheline Beaurain, chose a pointed question to address Miss Corsica: “As Miss France, how would you use your voice to raise awareness among the French about the challenges linked to climate change?”. The public whistles at the difficulty of the theme compared to those covered with its competitors. Stella Vangioni has fun with the situation and handles it with panache: “It is through education that we can raise awareness among the younger generation about this subject, which is so important because we only have one planet. Let’s preserve it, we are not alone”.
The coronation of Angélique Angarni-Filopon, Miss Martinique
Miss Martinique, Angélique Angarni-Filopon, a 34-year-old flight attendant, won the crown. Miss Côte d'Azur is the fourth runner-up, Miss Guadeloupe is the third runner-up, Miss Corsica is the second runner-up. Miss Nord-Pas-De-Calais is first runner-up. Angélique Angarni-Filopon is the oldest of her class and at 34 years old becomes the oldest winner in the history of the competition. She is also the first Miss Martinique to win the election. “It is an honor to stand before you. When I won Miss Martinique I told the people of Martinique that we were going to do it together”she declared into Jean-Pierre Foucault's microphone before emotion overwhelmed her.
