A barn transformed into a family home

Eager to return to his roots, he decided, several years ago, to make his home there. With his wife Mariette, the “Little Marie” of his famous title, they bought an old barn which they carefully renovated.
The residence, surrounded by vineyards and bucolic landscapes, has become a space where the family meets and where the singer draws inspiration for his musical projects. “ It is a place that exudes serenity“, confides Cabrel in an interview.
A place of artistic creation
Beyond its role as a family home, this barn houses the Ephemeral Studioa unique recording studio where Francis Cabrel composes and records his albums.
Major works such as « Diagon Alleys« et “Roses and Nettles” saw the light of day there.
The calm and the surrounding nature are for him a real source of creativity. “Here, ideas come naturally. Every corner of this house carries a story, a melody,” explains the artist.
