“We are stunned by the suddenness of this event (…) This incident is so sudden that we too are saddened and in shock,” said the Japanese star’s agency in a press release.
As stated in the BBCMiho Nakayama's lifeless body was found by a member of her team, who went to her house after she failed to show up for work. Dispatched to the scene, emergency services noted the death of the actress.

Following this tragedy, an investigation was opened to determine the exact causes of death. According to initial findings, the actress died of drowning, said the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department.
Still according to authorities, the actress' death could be the result of an accident or illness.
The actress posted a message the day before her disappearance
Miho Nakayama was best known for starring in the 1995 film “Love Letter,” a major role that brought her international recognition.
According to the Daily Mail, the fifty-year-old was to attend a Christmas concert in Osaka this Friday. But the latter canceled her appearance at the event for “health reasons”.
