The Spanish singer Lola Indigo announced that she would perform at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium on June 14, 2025. Information disputed by Real Madrid, which assures that it cannot guarantee the next concert dates at its venue, due to a conflict with local residents. The 32-year-old artist, however, claims to have obtained authorization to perform in the Merengue setting next spring.
A spectacular clip, with a dragon on the roof of the stadium, a set that stands on the pitch and its face projected on giant screens. Lola Indigo released a video on social networks on Monday to announce with great fanfare that she would perform at the Santiago Bernabeu on June 14, 2025, as part of her tour “La Bruja, la Nina y el Dragon” (The Witch, the Little Girl and the Dragon). The Spanish singer even specified that the opening of the ticket office would take place on December 12. Enough to delight his fans on the other side of the Pyrenees.
But Real Madrid quickly cooled the atmosphere. A few hours later, the Merengue club published a press release to qualify the Iberian star's announcement, explaining “not being able to guarantee the next concert dates which will take place at Santiago Bernabeu”. At issue: a conflict with local residents' associations over the noise generated by this type of event. Work and tests must be carried out in order to find common ground “while respecting the law, the environment and the neighborhood”.
“People didn’t read the Real press release, only the title”
Until these soundproofing issues have been resolved, Real Madrid cannot officially schedule concerts within its premises. But Lola Indigo nevertheless assures that she has been authorized to perform at the Bernabeu next spring. “We have a date, it’s June 14. We were given a date, we’re not making it up,” explained the Madrid native in an interview with La Revuelta. “We all work in a spirit of coexistence, to do this without disturbing the neighbors. If there are neighbors who want to attend the concert, I invite them for free!”
Lola Indigo, who also announced dates at the Seville Olympic Stadium and the RCDE Stadium in Barcelona (the home of Espanyol Barcelona), points out that Real Madrid has not clearly denied holding its show at Bernabeu. “They issued a statement because the legal process is very serious. People did not read the club's statement, only the title. What Real is saying is that no concert can take place until Noise-related concerns have not been resolved.” The artist followed by 2.4 million subscribers on Instagram is convinced that this will be the case in the coming months: “I think everything will be perfect. It's the most important concert of my life, it's my dream.”
