During the last Ecologist summer universities, an environmentalist MP sent a strong message to Lucie Castets. Enough to create controversy

Defending social rights and fighting for equality: this is the fight led by Lucie Castet. Just recently, the 37-year-old woman, attacked over her coming out, declared:
“What's funny is that in this portrait, we talk about my childhood, my taste for sport, my political commitment (…) The only thing that was retained is: 'Lucie Castets who comes out and talks about his sex life'“. And a recent message sent to him by an environmentalist deputy does not help matters.

A message intended for Lucie Castets causes controversy

As usual, the different political parties recently organized their summer universities. Members, activists and political professionals took advantage of this moment to meet. Unsurprisingly, Lucie Castets, NFP candidate, went to the Ecologists in . During this meeting where she expressed her ideas, Lucie was accompanied by other left-wing figures, notably Senator Mélanie Vogel. Which did not fail to post a particular photo of this day via its networks. In the photo, the person concerned appears, Lucie Castets and Anne-Laure Delatte, followed by the caption : “And well done lesbians.”

Rant from Internet users

This post from Mélanie Vogel immediately caused controversy… Especially since Lucie Castets had barely come out as homosexual in the columns of Match. On X, formerly Twitter, many Internet users considered Mélanie Vogel's message to be very clumsy. “Since when is homosexuality a skill? Pathetic. You don't represent me”What does sexual orientation have to do with it?”we could read in the comments. Or again: “What is this totally stigmatizing tweet about sexual orientation?”

Lucie Castets, married to a woman and parent of a daughter

Despite the rant from Internet users, the senator, like Lucie Castets and Anne-Laure Delatte, did not wish to react to this controversy. During the interview given to our colleagues at Paris Match, the NFP candidate revealed that she had married a woman. The couple are also parents of a two and a half year old child who they are raising together. The latter, highly publicized because of her political aspirations, also said she wanted to find the right balance between her public life and her private life. This way, she will be able to better protect her family.
