The weather was nice, the sea was not far away and it was for a good cause! Many celebrities met this weekend to help an association. The meeting was in La Baule where stars, riders and professional jockeys took on challenges to collect money. The host Stéphane Plaza revealed the behind the scenes of this event organized for Vaincre Usher 2.

Charlie Bruneau, David Brécourt, Shirley Bousquet and Michaël Cohen all made the trip. Horse riding enthusiasts, they gave it their all against professionals, jockeys Guillaume Biel, Cécilia Poirie, Hugo Lebouc, Mélanie Bourgeais, Christopher Grosbois, Madeline Carney and Thibault Marlin. Great people who therefore took on a great challenge. But Stéphane Plaza’s challenge may have been not to get injured! Suffering from dyspraxia, an alteration of communication between the brain and the body, the presenter and real estate agent often, very often hurts himself. Foot, leg, arm, neck… is there still a part of his body that was not damaged! Despite the danger, he did not hesitate to get in the saddle to help this association. He came in first!

Why did all these stars mobilize?

Celebrities support the association Vaincre Usher 2 but what is Usher syndrome 2? It is a syndrome that combines deafness and a deterioration of the visual field. It is deaf-blindness, a contraction of deafness and blindness. Usher syndrome 2 is a double sensory handicap. The child is born hard of hearing, approximately 60 to 80% hearing loss. The loss of vision by a reduction of the visual field is due to a degeneration of the retina (retinitis pigmentosa RP) which generally appears in adolescence. A handicap unfortunately invisible.
