Nadège Lacroix announced the long-awaited arrival of her baby this Wednesday, November 27, 2024. The former reality TV candidate then revealed the most important thing, namely that she and her child were doing well, even if “nothing went as planned” and that “it was not an easy birth at all”. She then explained that she was going to rest, and that she would come back quickly to give news. And that's what she did the next day, taking to Instagram to say more about her little boy.

This Thursday, Nadège Lacroix created an Instagram account for her son, and she made a joint publication with hers in order to reveal the first details about her baby. We learn that he has the first name Elyo, that Romeo is his middle name and that he has his mother's last name. “Hello world, that's it, I arrived on November 26, 2024 to the greatest pleasure of my mother. My name is Elyo Roméo Lacroix, I came into the world at 51 cm and 3,510 kg. We are resting a little but we send you kisses”we can read in the caption of a photo of the baby in his maternity cradle, with a pretty wooden plaque showing this information in the foreground.
Nadège Lacroix chose a first name that is gaining popularity
Elyo is still a rather original first name, but its popularity is increasing at the moment. According to The Official First Names 2025it is one of the small names which are growing strongly in the top 200 and it is worn by 4300 people in France (we did not find the statistics for this first name in Switzerland, the country where Nadège Lacroix's baby is born and will live). It is a first name of Hebrew origin, which means “the Lord is my God”. However, it can also be seen as a variation of the first names Hélios/Hélio/Elio”, which mean “sun” in Greek.
