Certainly, it is the king of ephemeral projects. After treating us with his friends brothin summer tavernor even his Bistrot BenedictaJean Covillault, one of the most endearing Top Chef candidates all seasons combinedreturns with a new concept that is good for our stomachs, et especially to the planet. Chez Leftovershe offers us a sustainable cuisineto learn how to restore value to shunned foodsin partnership with We Anti-Waste.
“What are we eating this evening?” »
The leftovers, very often, we have a not very glamorous image of it. We all remember those Sunday evening meals, as children, where we were entitled to 3 poor pieces of hard bread with a soup composed of all the rotten vegetables in the fridgewhen we were just dreaming of pasta. However, it's a bit unfair, because these dishes can also be delicious. Proof of this is, don't we say, for example, thata bourguignon is always better reheated?
So, when we learned that our favorite Jean Covillault opened a pop-up restaurant for give pride of place to these ingredients and recipes that are far too often underestimatedsuffice to say that we were completely exhilarated. On the program: a 100% ethical and eco-responsible menu designed with drawer bottoms and forgotten items from the fridge, which will be available until March 2025for the modest sum of 22€ per person!
Long live ugly products
Here, as you can imagine, no fixed menusince the latter changes every day (or almost) depending on the arrival of products at the end of their life to be rescued before it's too late. The perfect way to prove to us that it is possible to design delicious eco-friendly recipeswhile enhancing the potential of shunned productsbecause too big, too deformed, too close to the expiration datein short, those that we don't see in supermarkets, and that we tend to throw away a little quickly.
On the map, three dish optionsincluding one option vegetable of course, composed of 80% ingredients saved by We Anti-Waste. A fairly wide choice, just to suitable for all palatesand above all to give you the maximum of recipe ideas to reproduce at home on Sunday evening. And for your information, reservations open on the 20th of each month for the following month (example: December 20 for the month of January). There is only one thing left for us to say: Long live the leftovers!
