Suffering from a degenerative disease since February 2023, the 69-year-old actor shared a sweet moment with his daughters, Tallulah and Scout, on the occasion of Thanksgiving. A moving appearance… and increasingly rare.

His degenerative illness will not take away his family time. Since the announcement of his diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia in February 2023, Bruce Willis has become increasingly rare. But on the occasion of Thanksgiving this Thursday, November 28, two of his daughters shared a moving photo with their father.

The 69-year-old actor was pictured surrounded by his second daughter, Scout, 33, standing nose to nose with him and her arm around his shoulders, while his third daughter, Tallulah (30), sat on the ground with his gaze turned affectionately towards his father. Two of the three daughters he had with actress Demi Moore: despite their separation in 1998, the two actors remained very close and Demi Moore supports her ex-husband in the battle against illness.

In the midst of his battle with aphasia, Bruce Willis appears weakened during a rare outing on the streets of Los Angeles

On Instagram, the two young women said they were “grateful” to be able to celebrate this tradition with their father, who carried in his hands a small plaque bearing the words “Best dad ever”, or “best dad of all time” in French .

A first diagnosis in 2022

The actor's family announced his retirement in March 2022 at just 67 years old, due to a diagnosis of aphasia, a neurological disorder characterized by a partial or total loss of the ability to communicate. Just a year later, Bruce Willis was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia, a degeneration of the brain.

“He’s doing well, which in this situation is a good thing. But it's difficult. There are painful days, but there is so much love,” Tallulah Willis said in September 2024 in an interview with Today .

If the actor appeared quite weakened in September 2024 in a car driven by his bodyguard, this new photo delights and reassures (a little) his fans. “This photo makes me happy”, “Your father seems to be doing really well”, “Lots of love for the family”, “Thank you for sharing these wonderful photos with us”, can we read in the comments under the Instagram post.
