Last August, Alain Delon died at the age of 87. “Alain Fabien, Anouchka, Anthony, as well as (his dog) Loubo, are immensely saddened to announce the departure of their father. He passed away peacefully in his house in Douchy, surrounded by his three children and his family. (…) His family kindly asks you to respect their privacy, in this extremely painful moment of mourning.” It is with these words that the three Delon children announced via a press release the death of their father.

In The last Delon mysteries – All his secrets revealed published on November 14 by Robert Laffont, Bernard Violet interferes in the intimate life of the actor. A long biography of nearly 700 pages which promised to “many revelations”. These revelations on his alleged bisexuality or even rumors concerning gangster affairs.

Alain Delon “had a lot of dealings with organized crime”

During his life, the actor played a gangster but also a police officer on screen: hunted gangster in Le Samouraï by Jean-Pierre Melville (1967) or seasoned inspector in Flic Story by Jacques Deray (1975). If the actor confided to Match, in 2021, having “always preferred the police”, he admitted having “had a lot of connections with organized crime”. Dangerous connections which linked his name to a famous criminal case which became a state scandal: the Markovic file.

Anthony Delon: “We have to leave him alone now”

This Wednesday, November 27, Anthony Delon was Thibaut Gauthier's guest on the show Le Figaro la nuit, broadcast in full on Figaro . For the occasion, he reacted to the publication of this biography and to rumors about his father. “I'm going to answer you. I'm not going to echo that because that would be a service to the person who wrote it.
Why would I give him this gift?”
he explained.

And to continue talking about his missing father: “He’s gone, we have to leave him alone nowwe have to stop with that and with everything else. It is the memory of the dead that we honor, not that of the living. We must leave him in peace.” Anthony Delon also added that Alain Delon had left an extraordinary cultural heritage and had
“made history” of his imprint. “I want to keep the best, the positive”he said.
