Terminal liver cancer.
Dolph Lundgren is cured. The 67-year-old Swedish actor announced on his Instagram account that he had been cured of the cancer that had been eating away at him for 9 long years. From his hospital bed, the actor made famous by his role asIvan Drago In Rocky IVrejoiced: “Health update – finally cancer free, with gratitude and excitement for a bright future. Thank you for all your support every step of the way”.

Two or three years to live
During an interview given to American journalist Graham Besinger (In Depth), taken up by the English from the Daily Express, the Swedish actor Dolph Lundgren revealed that he was suffering from liver cancer terminally ill in May 2023. A poignant testimony for someone who admitted to fighting the illness for eight years already.

In fact, doctors removed his first kidney tumor in 2015. An operation following which Dolph remained under treatment. But in 2020, he then felt “a kind of acid reflux”. After an MRI, “They discovered another tumor in the liver the size of a small lemon”. A cancer that spread to his lungs, his spine, his stomach… At the time, doctors told him his cancer was terminal. His life prognosis was then only two or three years.
