Came with his family to the world premiere of Vaiana 2 in Hawaii, “The Rock” actor and his mother put on a show on the red carpet.
Eight years after the success of the first opus, Vaiana 2 will be available in cinemas from this Wednesday, November 27. On November 21, the entire cast was gathered in Kapoleï, Hawaii, for the world premiere of the animated film. Dwayne Johnson, who lends his voice to Maui, one of the main characters, walked the red carpet with his family. For once, he was in fact accompanied by Simone, his eldest daughter born from a first marriage, by Laura Hashian, his wife since 2019, by their two daughters Jasmine (8 years old) and Tiana (6 years old) , but also of Ata, his mother.

An unexpected and joyful moment
The mother and her 52-year-old son stole the show from the film team. Indeed, while Ata Johnson performed a few Hawaiian dance steps under the eye of the photographers and cameramen present, she invited her son to join her with a nod. After taking off his suit jacket and kissing his two younger daughters, the ex-wrestler did so. With a necklace of flowers around his neck, bulging muscles and visible tribal tattoos, he swayed awkwardly to the rhythm of traditional songs. An unexpected and joyful moment which allowed us to glimpse, for a few seconds, another side of The Rock's personality.
