Broadcast from 2006 to 2013, the series Dexter has been a worldwide success. The life of Dexter Morgan, half-forensic scientist, half-serial killer, has captivated a wide audience. So much so that eight years after the series ended, a ninth season entitled Dexter : New Blood was released, still with Michael C. Hall, who plays the main character, on the bill.
And it’s far from over. To celebrate the tenth anniversary of the series, a prequel about the youth of the serial killer is currently in preparation. Entitled Dexter : Original Sinthis one will return to the beginnings of Dexter Morgan’s transformation into a bloodthirsty character.
Much awaited by fans of the series, Dexter : Original Sin will be able to count on a five-star cast. While Michael C. Hall will find himself, this time, behind the camera as executive producer alongside Clyde Phillips, author of the original series, several stars are expected. According to the magazine Variety, Sarah Michelle Gellar, known for her role in Buffy the Vampire Slayer but also in Sex Intentionswill play Tanya Martin, head of the Miami Metro Police, Dexter Morgan’s superior.
Young Dexter Morgan will be played by Patrick Gibson (The Tudors). Alongside them, Christian Slater (Mr. Robot) will play Harry Morgan, the father of Dexter Morgan, Patrick Dempsey (Grey’s Anatomy) will be the captain of the Miami police and Christina Milian (singer and partner of Matt Pokora) will play Maria Laguerta.
