Patrick Sébastien: tremors and doctor upon waking up, his alcohol consumption caused “tremendous damage”

This November 26, 2024, Patrick Sébastien was the guest of Jordan de Luxe, on C8. And the former host of “Largest cabaret in the world“, returned to his alcoholism. He actually admitted to his host: “I drank 1.5 liters of whiskey a day.

And added: “it was bullshit, but I don't regret either having drunk or having stopped“. Very surprised by Patrick Sébastien's descent, Jordan de Luxe then asked him if he could stand up.

To which the paf star assured: “Of course I wanted to, but you really shouldn't do that. I was drunk, dead no, but drunk yes. But hey, it was the excesses of my youth.”

Jordan de Luxe sought to find out when Patrick Sébastien's alcohol consumption became problematic.

And the latter admits: The problem is that you don't notice itthere's nothing worse than guys who tell you 'but no, I'm not an alcoholic', you know they tell you that. When you start to recognize it, at one point I said to myself no, it’s not okay.”.

At the time, he remembers: “I stood up and was shaking. Ah no no no, there was no need, but it does tremendous damage. I had to call the doctor in the morning because things weren't going well.“.

His last glass of whiskey

This is the reason why Patrick Sébastien made an important decision for his life. He remembered on C8: “And at one point, I stopped, on my birthday, I had my last drink, I spilled it like that. And I said for 2 years, I don't even touch a drop of wine. It was whiskey and water, I drank it with water because it pisses better.”. And to conclude with humor: “It’s (Michel) Sardou who says that.”.

Fortunately, Patrick Sébastien continues to be hedonistic, but in another domain. The television host is an admitted libertine. He recently confided, moreover, that since the start of the Me Too movement, he was taking precautions, so as not to end up with “a baseless false accusation“.
