Seven seasons and then gone. The series Mentalist, which was broadcast from 2008 to 2015 in the United States, won over the French public who were able to discover it from 2010 to 2015. From the start, Mentalist won over nearly ten million viewers each week on TF1. A priori, nothing new, yet another detective series one might think. But ultimately the originality of the character of Patrick Jane entirely carries the series: that of a consultant who helps the California Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to resolve criminal investigations thanks to his qualities as a mentalist. A personality with a keen sense of psychology, he has a great sense of humor and a lot of irony. Let's also recognize that the person who plays him, Simon Baker, is no stranger to this craze either. The Australian-born actor was revealed to the general public thanks to this role. Almost ten years after the broadcast of the last season, in 2015, what happened to the key actors of Mentalist? Simon Baker, who divorced after 29 years of love, was more discreet. He chose to focus on independent cinema and directing. He notably directed and starred in the Australian film Breath in 2017.
