This is news that surprised everyone. Last October, Sophie Tapie announced that she was pregnant with her 2nd child with a nice official announcement from Baptiste Germain and their son César. “Soon (soon) 4 Gerpies”she wrote. “Gerpies” being the nickname she gave to her couple, a mix between Tapie and Germain. “We wanted children close together, so it was natural to have a second. We thought we would try to have one at the beginning of 2025 and then it happened earlier. Three months ago, we learned that Sophie was pregnant. It was intentional, but unexpected. We must believe that we are both connected.rejoices the rugby player from Aviron Bayonnais in an interview given to gala.fr.
Everything is going well between Bernard Tapie's daughter and the handsome rugby player, even if the 12 years apart which separate them may have been a subject at the start. “We talked about it, but we closed it very quickly. It was just a number”affirms the rugby player who married Sophie Tapie in a city dear to his heart, before saying more about his personality and his experience: “I left young to play rugby, I hang out with older men who are already fathers of families, so I think I have acquired a certain maturity. The lag was not felt. But it amuses us when his friends talk about certain references that I don't have. Our age difference is more of a strength than anything else.”
Sophie Tapie didn't want children at first
Things moved particularly quickly between the two lovebirds, who moved in together, got married and will soon have two children together. “At the start, I lived in Biarritz, she shared her life between Paris and the Côte d’Azur. We are very closewe didn't see each other enough for our liking, so we lived together very quickly. And then came the question of starting a family…”explains Baptiste Germain, who has not yet had a honeymoon with Sophie Tapie, before explaining the thinking that led him to have children: “I was amazed at these players who were reunited with their children at the end of the match. I always imagined myself becoming a father between the ages of 23 and 25. I knew I could manage. At first, Sophie didn't want it, I have to believe that I ended up convincing her. Her mother got her late, she didn't want to waste time.” So she won't have lost any!
