Sunday November 17, 2024, Nicolas Sarkozy was a guest on the podcast LEGENDhosted by Guillaume Pley, and broadcast on YouTube. A meeting during which the former president spoke openly about his life journey, his career in politics, his wife Carla Bruni and his children, in particular his daughter Giulia. The latter, born on October 19, 2011 from her union with Carla Bruni. As a reminder, the head of state married the model and singer in 2008 before welcoming their only daughter a few years later. A baby who was born at the Élysée during the politician's mandate. And today, the baby is all grown up!

During his podcast interview LEGEND, host Guillaume Pley posed to Nicolas Sarkozy a question about his role as a father with Giulia, aged 13. “She's reaching adolescence, do you monitor what she does at all? Have you guided her?”he asked her. And the former president responded without hesitation, “remove the word 'a little'. I'm watching a lot”. Behind this vigilance lies above all a deep love. “I'm watching because I'm worried at the moment, and at the same time, of course, she goes out, she has friends, she rides horses… When I see her jumping obstacles, my heart stops…”, he shared.

And while Nicolas Sarkozy was answering Guillaume Pley's questions, an unexpected surprise arose: his daughter Giulia decided to ask him a question on video, especially for the podcast. This intervention, filmed and broadcast on the show, surprised her famous dad. “Hello Dad, are you okay? Listen, I'm doing great, but hey, that's not the subject. I'd like to ask you a question for your podcast. I'd like to know who is your favorite child? Well honestly I think I know the answer but oh well…”launched the teenager, with a touch of humor and mischief.
A bold question that took Nicolas Sarkozy by surprise. The ex-president nevertheless responded tactfully. “She has the authority of her mother…”, he joked, before adding, more seriously: “It's a big ask, but I don't have a favorite child, I love my children naturally. We're very close actually.” Internet users were therefore able to discover the face and character of Giulia, who resembles her famous parents.

The funny question to his father Nicolas Sarkozy
Nicolas Sarkozy has three other children from his previous relationships: Pierre, Louis and Jean. Pierre Sarkozy, born October 25, 1985, is the first child of Nicolas Sarkozy, from his union with Marie-Dominique Culioli. He became a DJ and producer, working under the pseudonym “DJ Skorp”.
Jean Sarkozy, born July 1, 1986, is the second son of Nicolas Sarkozy with Marie-Dominique Culioli. Jean held elected office, notably as general councilor of Hauts-de-Seine and president of the agglomeration community of the Neuilly-sur-Seine region. His career was marked by an appointment in 2009 to head the public establishment of La Défense, following a decision which caused debate. Jean Sarkozy then chose to distance himself from politics.
Louis Sarkozy, born January 28, 1997, is the son that Nicolas Sarkozy had with his ex-wife Cécilia Attias. At 27, he married Natali Husic and is a columnist on LCI.
