More than 17 years after his first participation in the show hosted by Nagui, Mika – who will be the godfather of the Telethon this year – made his comeback in Taratata. Between his stage performances, the 41-year-old Lebanese singer spoke at length about his career and his current affairs. “You move around a lot, you travel a lot, you have a life both as an artist, a singer who performs on stage, but also as a host in shows”Nagui then pointed out to him, evoking the different parts of his career in Spain, England and of course in France. Comments from the host which allowed the singer to make an unexpected announcement: “No, in France, it’s over, I’m stopping all my TV shows in France.”
Very surprised by Mika's announcement, the presenter at the heart of the controversy then retorted: “As a host, but as a singer will you continue?” To which the latter replied “Of course, as a singer!” A relief for the public present on the set of the cult show which celebrated its 40th anniversary this year, who immediately believed that the interpreter of Happy Ending was announcing the end of his career in France. “We understood. You don't want the chair to turn around anymore, you want the chair to stay upright and you can talk quietly. Is that it?”, said Nagui, referring to the role of jury that Mika had taken on a few years ago in The Voice on TF1.
Mika spends most of his time in Miami
In a video posted on TiKTok (see above), the big brown open the doors from his superb house in Miami. What we then observe is that he seems to appreciate offbeat decorative objects, like its lamp with its feather-style lampshade or its decorative pineapples. The walls of its dining room display a unique exotic bestiary, inspired by the style of Douanier Rousseau, famous French painter and figure of naive art. These works were created by his sister Yasmine, an illustrator by profession, who also created a large fresco in the main staircase of the house. In this video, Mika also shows us her old traditional doll's house as well as various objects that are as unusual as they are original. A decoration which, by its singular character, surprises, but perfectly reflects its personality: original and creative.
