In the late 1960s, Miou-Miou (then known as Sylvette Herry) met Coluche for the first time. Making their debut in the Café de la Gare, the two artists quickly fell madly in love with each other despite their age difference – Miou-Miou being still a minor at that time. In 2015, on the show Tea or Coffeeon France 2, Miou-Miou revealed: “I knew Coluche when he was not known, when his name was Michel Collucci. I knew him when he was in his little room in Montrouge, when he lived with his mother. I knew him in the making too. We were all in the making at the Café de la gare.“
Guest on the set of the show Band original on France Inter in 2023, the mother of Angèle (born in 1974 from her love affair with Patrick Dewaere) and of Jeanne (fruit of her love affair with Julien Clerc born in 1978) confided to Nagui how she had fallen under the spell of the man who created Les restos du coeur. A relationship that the actress' mother had not accepted at all.
I slammed my door
“I slammed the door of my house and the same day, I was a minor, I was 18 years old [la majorité étant à 21 ans à l’époque, ndlr]my mother said she would attack Coluche, embezzlement of a minor. I told my mother: 'At that point, I'm going to go and steal from the stores, so you'll be responsible.' I was emancipated the same day and I broke my apprenticeship contract because I already had my CAP anyway.“, she revealed.
Coluche, a very “pragmatic” seducer
Very seductive, Coluche had also come up with a most formidable strategy to achieve his ends. Miou-Miou recounted how he had used his charms when they met: “We went to Contrescarpe to a cabaret called La Method. There was Coluche who also sang. Taking advantage of the owner's absence, he had already repainted the piano pink. They said to my sister and me, we were both: 'If one of you likes me, let her tell me right away, we'll save time.'
