Currently showing in Three Friends by Emmanuel Mouret, Sara Forestier was interviewed by the commission of inquiry into violence in the cinema, audiovisual, live performance, fashion and advertising sectors, chaired by Sandrine Rousseau, on November 7 , in order to testify and try to find solutions to improve the film industry.

If the actress spoke about her journey, she also revealed that, to avoid economic losses and the scandal linked to the incident on the set of Good manthe production would have anonymously contacted a celebrity magazine to affirm that it was not the actor who slapped the actress, but rather her. Sara Forestier, however, insisted on the fact that she had indeed received this slap.

I didn't think we could reverse the situation, but at the same time, it's relentless… How could I speak after that, since they had accused me of having slapped me… How, Could I have said that I had received this slap? Because I received this slap. So, they managed to silence me. (…) When they delivered this last relentless blow, I was on the ground, I was devastated. I remember, it hurts me a lot to think about it, but I remember being… Forgive me…” she said, unable to help but shed a few tears following this moving testimony before continuing: “to have been on all fours, on my knees in my living room, on my floor crying because I had just learned of the article“.
