Astrid and Raphaëlle : “I recognize myself a lot in her“, Lorie Pester talks about her character
Télé-Loisirs: What attracted you to the role of Camille Sicard?
Lorie Pester : It's the depth of his character and his incredible determination. Camille is a mother ready to do anything for her son. Personally, I see a lot of myself in her. As a mother, I understand the instinct that pushes us to sacrifice everything for the sake of our children. The strength and vulnerability she exudes resonates with me, because I know how far I would go to keep my daughter safe and happy. This role allowed me to explore intense and complex emotions, which is both a challenge and an enriching experience.
How was filming your scenes with Lola Dewaere? A particular memory on or off set?
The filming went very well, and we had a lot of laughs. I already knew Lola, as we have mutual friends, and when I produced a music video to raise funds to build the parents' house at the Margency Children's Hospital, of which I am a godmother, she immediately accepted to make an appearance in the clip entitled Alone Together. That was really nice of him.
Will Lorie Pester return in Tomorrow belongs to us ? She answers
How does it feel to be on the other side in the interrogation room compared to your cop character in Tomorrow belongs to us ?
Being on the other side in the interrogation room was a really interesting experience. In Tomorrow belongs to usI played the role of Lucie, police lieutenant, and I was often in a position of strength and authority. By turning in Astrid and RaphaëlleI had the opportunity to explore a completely different dynamic. It allowed me to feel what it was like to be interrogated, to experience the tension and intensity of the situation. It's fascinating to go from a role where you are in control to one where you are confronted with authority. It's a real challenge to interpret this kind of scene, and I loved this new approach.
Are you considering returning to Tomorrow belongs to us in the role of Lucie?
For the moment, there are no plans for me to return to Tomorrow belongs to us in the role of Lucie. I returned last year, but this time as director for a few episodes. It was an enriching experience, and I loved exploring the series from a new perspective. For now, I'm focusing on new projects, especially directing, but who knows what the future holds!
