Aradei Capital has announced the plan to repurchase the stake held by Akdital and BFO Foncière in the real estate company Akdital Immo, dedicated to the private health sector in Morocco.

After acquiring a 51% stake in the capital of Akdital Immo in January 2022, Aradei Capital is in the process of acquiring the stakes of the two co-founders, namely Akdital (31.85%) and BFO Foncière ( 17.15%), indicates a joint press release from the companies, adding that the total amount of the transaction amounts to nearly 268 million dirhams (MDH).

The agreements were signed on June 11, 2024, the completion of this operation is subject to authorization from the Competition Council, adds the same source.

Akdital Immo owns operational health establishments located in strategic cities across the Kingdom (notably Tangier, El Jadida, Agadir, Salé and Safi) offering a bed capacity of more than 1,000 beds.

These care units are operated by Akdital under long-term lease contracts. These multidisciplinary healthcare establishments offer a quality, local healthcare offering covering oncology as well as various multidisciplinary specialties including surgical and interventional cardiology.

Akdital Immo’s real estate assets reach a rental area (GLA) of more than 80,000 m² and are valued at nearly MAD 900 million at the end of December 2023.

“The exit of Akdital from the shareholding of Akdital Immo is part of its strategy of refocusing on its core activity, namely the operation of health establishments,” indicates the Chairman and CEO of Akdital Immo. ‘Akdital, Rochdi Talib, quoted by the press release.

For Mohammed Bouzoubaa, Chairman and CEO of BFO Foncière, “Akdital Immo successfully completed its investment plan. Our participation ends with the stabilization of the assets delivered.”

Aradei Capital is a Moroccan real estate company listed on the Casablanca Stock Exchange. Its main activity revolves around the acquisition and development of real estate assets with a view to generating long-term rental income.

Leader of the private health sector in Morocco, Akdital has a total of 23 health establishments with a total bed capacity of 2,532 beds and distributed in 11 cities.

BFO Foncière is an investment company holding assets and stakes in different sectors of activity, particularly rental yields.
