Laurent Jalabert is one of those who needs heat and sun all year round. So, when the temperature starts to drop in France, the winner of the Tour of Spain takes off for warmer destinations. Last January, he treated himself to a dream vacation in Thailand with Marion, his young partner 20 years younger and after Asia, this time, the two lovebirds chose an equally exotic destination.
Consultant for France Télévisions for several years now, Marion Rousse's colleague has had another very busy year professionally. In addition to the Tour de France and the numerous events that mark the season, he also commented on the cycling events of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Enough to treat himself to a nice break and with his darling, former Miss Périgord, he flew off for a stay on an island known throughout the world since they left for Tahiti and more precisely for Bora-Bora. On Instagram, Laurent Jalabert revealed his participation in the X Terra triathlon, an incredible race with 1.5 km of open water swimming, 34 km of mountain biking with 1,000 meters of elevation and 10 km of tropical jungle trail with 340 meters of elevation . “Everything needs a first time. After a year that was overbooked on all fronts, a year without a sports bib, we had to break this dynamic. (…) Very nice experience, I had a lot of fun in this race and I made the most of every moment.”writes the former cyclist.
Relaxing with Marion before a sporty hike
After the effort, comfort for the man who became world champion at the age of 54 after his incredible victory during an Ironman competition. As he revealed in a video (to be found in the slideshow) on Instagram, Laurent Jalabert enjoys the heavenly landscapes of Tahiti. “Here, in Bora Bora, the day begins and it begins with a walk on the wild coast (…) It's great, it's happiness. It's 7 a.m., it's already very hot and we feel good”explains the consultant, straw hat on his head and sunglasses on his nose. “There’s the lagoon, and then there’s the rest. That’s worth it too, right?”, “We love it”he adds in the caption of his video.
Laurent Jalabert, whose property was visited by a hooded man a few weeks ago, also shared a beautiful photo of Marion Limouzy on a swing installed in the water, during a beautiful sunset. “Has anyone ever hiked Mount Otemanu?”he then asks his subscribers, proof that he hasn't finished exercising during his vacation!
