LACMA Art + Film: the meeting of art and cinema
For its 13th annual edition, the prestigious Art and Film Gala of Los Angeles Museum of Art (LACMA) welcomes within its walls numerous personalities from cinema, art, fashion and music. An evening event which, like every year, highlights the work of two artists from cinema and art.
For this year 2024, these are the American Simon Leighwho dedicates his works to the history and subjectivity of black women, and the director Baz Luhrmann (Elvis, The Great Gatsby) who serve as the lucky ones. The 62-year-old Australian soon to be at the helm of a new version of Jeanne D’Arc joins David Fincher, Quentin Tarantino et Clint Eastwood in the list of directors honored during previous editions.
Designated main sponsor of the event, the house Gucci took care of dressing several celebrities present at the evening, including the actor Colman Domingo and the model Kaia Gerber. To further underline the importance of the event, the creative director of Gucci, Sarno Saturdayand its new CEO, Stefano Cantinowere also there.
Celebrities invited to the 2024 gala
During the evening, many stars wore glamorous looks on the red carpet of the LACMA. Co-chaired by Leonardo DiCaprio et Eva Chow, the Gala was able to count on the presence of the British singer Charli XCXbehind the musical phenomenon BRATwho took the stage alongside Troye Sivan to perform several pieces. On October 23, 2024, the two artists closed their American tour, relayed worldwide, called the Sweat Tour.
Among the other big names invited to the evening, we find the British actor Andrew Garfield (Love in the present), Mikey Madison – on displayAnora – Omar Apollo, Viola Davis, Blake Lively as well as Emily Ratajkowski and of course the essential Kim Kardashian.
