The royal family has a choice in terms of housing and among their possessions is Sandringham House, a residence located in Norfolk in the east of England. This private residence of King Charles III still offers several activities accessible to the public. In fact, a museum tells the history of the entire property and it is possible for visitors to have access to part of the park in which there are games for children.

And it doesn’t stop there since the monarch recently made an announcement that will delight more than one. As reported by the Sun, fans of the royal family will very soon be able to indulge in a new activity in Sandringham Park. King Charles III indeed announced the opening of a golf course of 18 holes which will be open from 1er July to September 15, 2024.

King Charles III announces good news

For all those who want to take advantage of the large royal estate, simply reserve a slot between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. and pay the modest sum of 8 euros for adults and 6 euros for children. The Sun specifies that we do not yet know if King Charles III will come and try this new course during its inauguration next July. For his part, royal family fan Phil Morgan is already looking forward to coming and testing this new activity.

“Golf is really my thing, I can’t wait to try the King’s golf course. It’s really a stroke of luck that His Majesty is offering to swing this summer for all golf fans like me” he said enthusiastically. And if the King Charles III decided to take such an initiative to rejoice his subjects, it is in particular because of its important role in the world of golf. Indeed, William and Harry’s father agreed to sponsor the oldest gold club in the world, the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews.

Charles III succeeds Queen Elizabeth II

It must be said that the sponsorship of the club by the king or queen in place is a tradition dating back hundreds of years. Before King Charles III, it was his mother Queen Elizabeth II who sponsored this golf club for 70 years. The very first monarch to take on this role was William IV in 1834. Established in 1754, the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews was said to be “honored and touched” from the support of King Charles III.
