Like most people, Lily Allen finds it hard to live without her cell phone. But she found a way to not be totally addicted to it. The singer and her husband, David Harbour, who stars in “Stranger Things,” have reached an unorthodox agreement to reduce the time they spend scrolling through social media. “My husband controls what apps I am allowed to have on my phone. And I do the same with hers,” confides the 39-year-old Briton to the “Sunday Times”. The mother of Ethel, 12, and Marnie, 11, adds that she recently confiscated her daughters’ smartphones after reading in a book that children should not use them before the age of 14 .

If the interpreter of “Smile” has taken these drastic decisions, it is because she has a very strong opinion on what she considers to be a scourge. “The creative side of my brain has been ruined by smartphones. I feel like everyone feels the same way. I don’t know anyone who can say that the quality of life is improved by the presence of a smartphone,” she laments. And Lily goes even further in her analysis: “I think it destroyed us as a species. It’s horrible that they are designed to be so addictive. Some of us have more addictive behaviors than others. It’s evil.”

Despite her claims about her phone having limited functionality, Lily recently humorously confided that she wanted to be buried with her smartphone, so that no one would find her pornographic search history.
