It’s the cinematic phenomenon of the year, the one that everyone is talking about. Last May 1 was released in theaters A little something extra, the very first film directed by Artus. In this irresistible comedy carried by Alice Belaïdi, Clovis Cornillac, and Marc Riso, Artus tries to pass himself off as a young man suffering from a mental deficiency, during a stay summer camp for adults with disabilities.

This makes for a funny and touching film. Today, its success is such that Artus even decided to tattoo the title of his first creation on his body (but the result was not really what he hoped for).

The entire film crew A little something extra is expected at the Cannes Film Festival, after none of the controversy over fashion brands who agree to lend them outfits to parade – a solution was finally found found. Artus makes a big announcement

This Tuesday, May 21, 2024, while he was walking on the Croisette, Artus grabbed his smartphone to make an unexpected revelation to his fans. In a story, he announces big news: “Thanks to the success of the film, it’s not just going to be a film (…) We can’t be sure that there are great projects happening for the world of disability and structures,” before concluding : “There are things that are going to happen!”

Artus in the casting of a film presented at Cannes

In addition to proudly representing his film, the French comedian is visiting the Cannes Film Festival for the premiere of The Pampas, presented at Critics’ Week. This first feature film by Antoine Chevrollier tells the story of the friendship between two young men in the motocross world. Damien Bonnard plays the father of the champion and Artus his trainer.

For this role, Artus lost no less than 35 kilos. In a recent interview with RTL journalists, he balanced on certain behaviors regarding weightstating: “I don’t believe in this thing of saying ‘I’m very fat and I keep myself that way’ (…), there’s no such thing as a 90-year-old who weighs 150 kilos.” One thing is certain, Artus has a very good career ahead of him.
