On the late singer’s Instagram account, thousands of words of love cover his latest publications.

Singer Rita Ora said she was “devastated” by the death of her friend and collaborator. “He had a generous soul, I will never forget him. I loved working with him, it was such a joy to be with him on and off stage. This tragic news breaks my heart. I send all my love and prayers to his family and loved ones. Our song For You now takes on a whole new meaning for me,” she wrote under a carousel of photos of the duo.

Singer and DJ Boy George, who did not personally know the late singer, wrote: “You can be heartbroken over someone you don’t know. This is the saddest news ever.”

Hilton was one of the celebrities to react most quickly to the sad news on Wednesday evening. In a post on X, she wrote that she was “so devastated to hear the news of Liam Payne’s passing.” She added: “I send all my love and condolences to his family and loved ones. Rest in peace my friend.”
