JoeyStarr defends Gérard Depardieu: “We broke someone”

On April 29, Gérard Depardieu was placed in police custody following accusations of sexual assault made by three women during film shootings. One of them denounces “obscene remarks” and “indecent words” of the actor, as well as his “hands all over my body”.

If these accusations were contested by Gérard Depardieu’s lawyer, Me Christian Saint-Palais, the sacred monster of French cinema had his guard lifted after being questioned by the police. The Paris prosecutor’s office, however, announced that the actor would be tried in October 2024 – before the criminal court – for the alleged sexual assaults during the filming of Green shutters.

Depardieu: Macron assures that he “never defended an aggressor against victims”

Since then, many other victims have come out of silence and received support from the community. With the exception of JoeyStarr (a bit like the signatories in the Figaro column). The famous rapper deplores “a horrible witch hunt” in TV Mag. “I agreed with the signatories, I said it was crazy. Go to his house too, burn him at the stake!”. According to him, “dhe people who die in the Republic of Congo or we are still under the colonial yoke in the West Indies… I find that it is much more serious. I’m not saying that the subject is not serious – I won’t comment -, but I found it horrible, especially since it’s pending, we don’t know. Still, we broke someone.”
