On the night of Monday May 6 to Tuesday May 7 for France, the annual Met Gala evening took place in New York, at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, organized by Anna Wintour. On this occasion, many stars revealed themselves in their best light with ever more fascinating looks.

Dua Lipa dares to be transparent in Marc Jacobs

Singer Dua Lipa, who arrived in New York a few days ago, was, of course, there. After Jennifer Lopez, Zendaya and Emily Ratajkowski, it is the 28-year-old star who made an impression on the red carpet.

For this new Met Gala evening, Dua Lipa opted for lace: she wore a corset top with lace details, combined with a low-waisted transparent lace skirt. An outfit which ideally highlighted the star’s slender body and ultra-flat stomach. She also wore a black feathered train for an even more seductive look. A fan of the “low waist”, the starlet offers, once again, a “comeback” to this trend from the 2000s, in front of the photographers.

Dua Lipa didn’t walk the red carpet solo. She appeared alongside designer Marc Jacobs. The star also wore Marc Jacobsas well as pieces of high jewelry signed Tiffany & Co.

Dua Lipa: off theme?

For this new edition of the Met Gala, Anna Wintour, popess of fashion and editor-in-chief of US Vogue, had chosen for theme: “Sleeping beauties: awakening of fashion” and for dress code: The Garden of Time, inspired by a JG short story dating from 1962. While some celebrities appeared with haute couture dresses adorned with rhinestones and flowers, reminiscent of an orchard, vineyards or a flower garden… Dua Lipa, for her part, bet on a darker look, which seems to stray from the main theme. Anyway, this seductive look, chosen by the interpreter of Houdinihighlighted her figure.
