Johnny Depp becomes Jack Sparrow again for a good cause

A few months ago, the producer of the franchise Pirates of the Caribbean had announced that he intended to restart the saga from scratch and have in mind, and especially the hope, of bringing back its star Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow for Pirates of the Caribbean 6. Waiting for, the 61-year-old actor recently donned the costume of the famous pirate again, for a good cause.

After the highly publicized trial which opposed him to his ex-wife Amber Heard, Johnny Depp declared through his lawyer that he had no intention of ever returning as Jack Sparrow in the franchise Pirates of the Caribbean. The actor had said he would abandon the proposal “even against 300 million dollars and a million alpacas“. Since then, if we trust the American press, Depp has changed his position. However, It remains to be seen whether Disney will be willing to re-hire the American actor.. For his part, Jerry Buckheimer gave an interview to Entertainment Tonight in which the producer of the franchise had not hidden his desire to see Johnny Depp return as Jack Sparrow :

I love Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Caribbean. If it were up to me, of course he would come back. He is a great actor and a good friend. We talked and obviously we discussed this, so we’ll see what happens…

While waiting to know what the future will hold for Johnny Depp in this saga and for the actor’s fans, the latter still has decided to put on his famous pirate costume for a good cause.

While in Spain for the San Sebastián Festival, Johnny Depp surprised himself by strolling through the corridors of the University Hospital of Donostia to the delight of hospitalized children in pediatric and oncology departments.

Disguised as Jack Sparrow, it’s a tradition for the 61-year-old actor who had already made this type of appearance in Vancouver, Paris, London and even Brisbane.

Faithful to his eccentric pirate character, Depp has lost nothing of his interpretation, notably his swaying gait. The actor is went from room to room stopping to chat, joke or take photos with the young patients of the hospital.

The establishment has thanked Johnny Depp on social networks for this unexpected appearance who brightened the day of sick children.

For his part, the actor was present in Spain for the promotion from his latest film as director entitled Modiwhich depicts the last three days of the Italian artist Amedeo Modigliani. A project which was to include Pierre Niney in the casting but which did not happen due to an incompatibility of the French actor’s schedule with the filming of Count of Monte Cristo.
