Ciné 32 in Auch is offering this Sunday, September 29 at 7:30 p.m. a preview screening of the film “Olympe, une femme dans la revolution”, in the presence of co-director and actress Julie Gayet.
Partly shot in the Gers, the film “Olympe, une femme dans la revolution” will be broadcast at Ciné 32 in preview this Sunday, September 29 at 7:30 p.m., in preview. This film is directed by Julie Gayet and Mathieu Busson. The latter, also an actress in this feature film, will be present during the screening.
For this feature film, Julie Gayet and Mathieu Busson focused on the Gers countryside, and in particular on the Château de Saint-Léonard, and more generally on Occitanie. Other scenes will be filmed in Tarn-et-Garonne, notably at the Château de Gramont, in Aveyron but also in Haute-Garonne.
In the Gers castle, for filming purposes, a bathroom and dormitories were reconstituted to allow future viewers to experience the precarious conditions of detention in which Olympe de Gouges evolved during the last months of her life, in the Petite Force infirmary in Paris, before his beheading on November 3, 1793.
