In the documentary series “Mr. McMahon” on Netflix, Vince McMahon was asked about the possibility of retirement before being forced to leave WWE. In response, the former WWE chairman said he would never retire:
“No, I will never retire. I don’t understand people who stop evolving. When you stop evolving, you die. People dream of being retired. What do you do once you retire? I have no sympathy for people like that. So…let them die.”
Before Vince McMahon retired, several WWE legends, including John Cena, Booker T, Hulk Hogan and Shawn Michaels, were also asked about the possibility of McMahon ever retiring:
Hulk Hogan: “No, that never happens.”
John Cena: “Will he stop? No. He loves what he does. It’s not a job for him.”
Shawn Michaels: “As long as he is still alive, Vince McMahon will remain the undisputed boss of WWE. I am sure of that.”
Booker T: “What could stop it? A nuclear bomb going off.”
