It was her son who announced her death on Instagram, with the simple words: “Mom is gone…”. Since then, he confided this Sunday, September 22, to Sunday Journalhe no longer sleeps. It was during these sleepless times that he wrote and recorded new songs. “My mother was my first fan, although unfortunately she didn’t have time to listen to my last album, he reveals. Thomas Dutronc explains, for example, that his mother hated his famous song. Jacques Dutronc and Françoise Hardy remained close throughout their lives
Françoise Hardy and Jacques Dutronc had only one child, Thomas. The two singers met in 1967. Thomas Dutronc was born in June 1973 and the couple married eight years later in Monticello, in Haute-Corse. It was in this commune that they owned a house, where Jacques Dutronc still lives. Françoise Hardy’s ashes now rest in the communal cemetery. Because although the couple eventually separated in the 1990s, they remained very close and never divorced despite the new partners who later entered their lives.
