Crossing 13 municipalities and accumulating no less than 30 stops, line 284-006 is full of confidential addresses between the town hall of Oncy-sur-Ecole and the bus station of Evry-Courcouronnes. Culture Bus takes you to discover Essonne.

First meeting in Milly-la-Forêt, where, a few meters from the Saint-Jacques stop, Jean Cocteau’s house awaits you. It was in 1947 that the writer, artist and filmmaker decided to settle in the town with his companion.

The house can now be visited. Filled with wacky objects, it has been left in its original appearance.

If you are a fan of flamboyant style then the Egile stop in Dannemois is made for you. Another house, another star, but this time, disco. Decorated with shimmering vinyls and velvet pants, the former home of Claude François opens its doors to you.

The Dannemois mill was the singer’s haven of peace since 1964. You can admire his collection of stage costumes as well as avant-garde decoration.

Before reaching the terminus, a final stop at Soisy-sur-Ecole will put a little more sparkle in your eyes. The art glassworks and its garden invite you on a dreamlike journey filled with small colored bubbles.

The opportunity to learn a little more about the practice of blown glass by visiting the workshop or to indulge in a little daydream while strolling in the garden.

Discover the hidden secrets behind your bus lines every week with “Culture Bus” on france.tv/idf.
