It’s been more than ten years sinceElisabeth Quin informs us through his show 28 Minutes on Arte. A show to which she devotes herself fully, but when she is not on a film set, the 61-year-old presenter makes her daughter her priority. The latter, Oona Propper-Quinis now 22 years old and was adopted by Elisabeth Quin in 2003 in Cambodia. The journalist has always tried to keep her away from the public eye, but for the first time, she presents her in an interview for the magazine Galapublished this Thursday, September 19.

Mother and daughter posed together for the weekly magazine and Elisabeth Quin took the opportunity to share a few secrets. The opportunity to learn that‘Oona is pregnant with her first child! And where some parents would have rebelled, the journalist was dealing with a girl more determined than ever to start a family: “At 22, this wonderful, responsive creature said to me: ‘Here I am, pregnant, I want to keep it because I love the guy I did it with and that’s just the way it is“, she reported her daughter’s cash announcement. And given her young age to become a mother, Elisabeth Quin naturally had some reservations at first: “I said to him, ‘Listen, wouldn’t it be much more relevant to do this in seven, eight, ten years? I mean, the biological clock isn’t saying go, go, go.‘”.

The symbolism behind Oona’s pregnancy

But the woman who suffers from double glaucoma quickly understood the importance of this pregnancy for Oona.I could see tears running down her cheeks. There is something there that is expressed in an imperious way. It is not just making a child. This is probably a remedy for this very particular situation. to be a child born of full adoption, of unknown father and mother. You know where you come from, geographically, spatially, genealogically. She knows nothing of all that. She advances in life, walking blindly“, she recalled. Today, Elisabeth Quin is, in any case, looking forward to becoming a grandmother.”It will be great!“.
