On September 30, Prince Harry will return to the United Kingdom. There is no information at this time to confirm whether he will meet his brother, Prince William, or his father, King Charles III, but he will certainly be the guest of honor at the annual WellChild Awards ceremony in London. The British charity for seriously ill children, of which Harry is the patron, is one of the few causes he has kept since he stepped back from his royal duties in January 2020.

Honored to once again celebrate the immense “courage” of these sick children, the prince will recognize all the medical staff dedicated to the health of young people with complex illnesses, often requiring extensive treatment. “These incredible young people, and the carers, nurses and dedicated professionals who tirelessly support them, inspire us all. It is a real privilege to recognize such extraordinary people,” Meghan Markle’s husband said in a statement.

This year, Harry will present the award for the “Inspirational Child”, aged 4 to 6. The WellChild Awards traditionally celebrate the inspiring qualities of children and young people affected by a serious illness. They also honour all the medical staff as well as the families and loved ones who support those who are ill on a daily basis. The son of King Charles III is also expected to give a speech during the evening. After 16 years of working with the charity, Prince Harry still takes great pleasure and pride in making the trip each year. Will he take advantage of his stay in London to visit his father, who, according to social media, took the time to wish his son a happy 40th birthday? Kate and William also made sure to send a message to Harry on this special day.

The last time the prince visited Britain was to attend his uncle’s funeral Lord Robert Felloweson August 29, during a surprise visit. At the time, he reportedly did not spend time with his brother, who was also present at the ceremony.
