Nagui and Coline, the maestro of “Don’t forget the lyrics”, talk about money live on air

Coline and her 53 victories mean that her prize pool now stands at 247,000 euros. A sum that is enough to make the main person concerned and her husband’s head spin. It is precisely on this subject that Nagui and the maestro discussed live on Monday, September 16.

“We are both (her husband and her) a little lost because we have projects in mind, but we say to ourselves: ‘we’re going to take the time’, we really have to manage all of this,” she confided to the 2 host. It was then that the latter gave some advice to the woman.

“I often say that it is tax-free because it is a gambling gain, it is tax-free”, the host is right, the state cannot tax, in Belgium and France, winnings from a game or even a bet, legal gambling, such as table games in casinos for example. “But the following year, depending on this money, what you do with it, it can be taxed”. Here, Nagui is referring to the acquisitions and properties that Coline is aiming for, which will then be taxed.

“If you buy an apartment, the apartment will be part of the tax,” the host exemplifies. The latter then defuses the very serious conversation with a touch of humor: “I just want to clarify this because you are psychorigid and you read the notices and the regulations, I would not want to influence you badly.”
