Liv Tyler’s big return to New York Fashion Week

Since the end of the multi-Oscar-winning trilogy The Lord of the RingsLiv Tyler is one of those discreet actresses who live far from the star system. At 47, the actress and mother of three children – Milo, Lula-Rose and Sailor – spends her life between the Zen gardens of her Los Angeles home and the cozy comfort of her immense mansion nestled in New York. So naturally, when she allows herself a few rare trips to social events, it is impossible for her to go incognito. Invited to attend the Alaïa spring-summer 2025 fashion show in New York on September 6, the daughter of the famous rocker Steven Tyler, leader of the group Aerosmith, made a remarkable appearance.

At the gates of the Guggenheim Museum, Liv Tyler sported an ensemble consisting of a tight black transparent top, flowing suit pants in the same shade and a pair of fishnet ballet flats. To highlight her loose black hair, she opted for red lips, her beauty signature, coordinated with her handbag and manicure. A look shared by the actress on her Instagram account and liked, among others, by Jennifer Aniston. “Gorgeous, my darling!!”, also expressed the American model and singer Bebe Buell in the comments section.

The art of discretion

In the immaculate room where the show was taking place, Liv Tyler was seated to the right of the singer Rihanna. A prestigious duo photographed on numerous occasions by the other guests, notably Vanessa Friedman, fashion journalist at New York Times . It must be said that Liv Tyler is not often spotted at a Fashion Week or any other fashion event. Her last photocall dates back to February 2023 at a Stella McCartney x Adidas party in California. Her last public appearance, however, dates back to February of this year. The star of Stolen Beauty (1996) was spotted in the stands at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson alongside David Beckham, a close friend of her ex-husband Dave Gardner. Her presence at New York Fashion Week was therefore all the more unexpected.
