Zelensky, Sanna Marin… Indochina returns with political imagery

SOUNDS AND IMAGES – The group led by Nicola Sirkis presents this Friday, at 9:10 p.m., on TMC, ten songs from its new album, “Babel Babel”, which comes out Saturday. “20 Minutes” attended the filming where the iconography gave pride of place to political figures

The secret was kept until the end. Indochine filmed the “Babel Show” on Tuesday evening, broadcast this Friday at 9:10 p.m. on TMC, revealing ten of the seventeen tracks on its new album, Babel Babelwhich will be released on Saturday. Only 300 people were invited, by invitation and through a contest, to attend. The location of the filming remained a mystery until the last moment.

The meeting was arranged, a little before 6pm, at Porte de la Chapelle, north of Paris, to take a seat on board a bus ensuring the journey to the final destination: the Dushow studios, in Roissy. On site, mobile phones were sealed to prevent the leakage of any sound or image… The show, to which 20 Minutes attended, lasted almost an hour, without any downtime. In the middle of a large warehouse, on a raised central stage, the group played a series of unreleased songs.

“It’s quite risky, what we’re doing, because you don’t know any of these songs,” joked Nicola Sirkis – who spoke very little during the evening – to an audience, mostly made up of fans won over in advance, only too happy to(…) - 20minutes
