The actor thanks his brother for this “very nice gift”, the role he had dreamed of since childhood

According to him, Jean Dujardin owes a lot to his brother. And for good reason. Lawyer, producer and agent of the actor for several years, Marc Dujardin recently offered him a role he had dreamed of since childhood: that of Zorro, in an eponymous series that will be unveiled this weekend on Paramount +.

When passing on the plateau of Dailythe 52-year-old actor yesterday returned to his memories and the role of Don Diego de la Vega which occupied his mind several times during his career.

“I hoped so, well… At 20, I said to myself, ‘Hey, it wouldn’t be bad to do Zorro,'” he recalled. “Then at 30, you also say to yourself, ‘That would be good,’ then at 40, you have to put in a little more energy anyway… And I said to myself, ‘Well, it’ll never come…’ And from a childhood dream, it became an adult nightmare.”

Better late than never

But there is nothing better than family support to achieve your dreams. “It’s a very nice gift from Marc Dujardin, my brother, who saw me as a child playing in the garden, and he gave me this series,” he said.

The two brothers have already collaborated in the past on The Infidelsreleased in 2012, and Marc Dujardin accompanied the Oscar-winning actor over 10 years of his career as an agent.
