Property prices are up slightly in Bordeaux over the past month. They have now reached 4,936 euros per m², according to the exclusive Bien’Ici barometer for BFM Immo.
Bordeaux real estate is showing an increase. Thus, the average price now reaches 4,936 euros per m² in September, according to figures from our partner Bien’Ici*. Over one month, prices are up 0.5%. They are down 2.2% over one year.
On the rental side, prices are up over a year. Thus, the average price of a rental comes to 21.7 euros per m2. For a studio, it will be necessary to count on an average of 580 euros per month and for a 3-room apartment 990 euros.
Demographics have soared. The city’s population was 236,725 people in 2009 and it rose to 259,809 people in 2020, according to INSEE. In addition to the “other people without professional activity” which constitutes the largest socio-professional category (51,831 people), the most numerous are executives (40,446 people). On the other side of the spectrum are obviously the farmers (136 people) but also the craftsmen, traders, business leaders (8,767 people).
The number of primary residences has, unsurprisingly, increased, from 130,186 in 2009 to 142,875 in 2020. Secondary residences have also increased a little: 3,437 in 2009 compared to 8,447 in 2020. And the number of vacant dwellings reached 12,338 in 2020 compared to 10,627 in 2009.
