Discover real estate prices in Colmar as of September 1, 2024

Real estate prices are stagnating in Colmar. They have now reached 2,887 euros per m², according to the exclusive Bien’Ici barometer for BFM Immo.

Real estate prices in Colmar are holding steady and the average price has now reached 2,887 euros per m² in September (prices displayed in advertisements before negotiations), according to figures from our partner Bien’Ici*. Over a month, prices have increased by 0.1% and over a year, they have increased by 4.8%.

On the rental side, prices are increasing. Thus, the average price of a rental comes to 13.6 euros per square meter. For a studio, it will be necessary to count on an average of 445 euros per month and for a 3-room apartment 780 euros.

In Colmar, the population is relatively stable. According to INSEE, the city had 68,294 inhabitants in 2020, compared to 68,784 in 2014 and 67,214 in 2009 (i.e. +1.6% since 2009). Retirees form the most represented socio-professional category (26.2% of the population aged 15 or over). Next come employees (17.8%), people without professional activity (16.7%), workers (15.6%) and then intermediate professions (12.9%).

The least common socio-professional category in Colmar is farmers (0.1% of the population), followed by craftsmen, traders, business leaders (2.4%), executives and higher intellectual professions (8.4%) and intermediate professions (12.9%).

The number of primary residences has generally increased in recent years (32,675 in 2020, compared to 30,207 in 2009). The number of secondary residences and occasional accommodation is also increasing: there were 460 in 2009, there are now 1,541. Vacant housing has fallen significantly, from 2,905 in 2009 to 1,836 in 2020.
