Find out the real estate prices in Dijon as of September 1, 2024

Property prices have stagnated over a month in Dijon. They have now reached 3,049 euros per m², according to the exclusive Bien’Ici barometer for BFM Immo.

Dijon real estate is holding up and the average price has now reached 3,049 euros per m² in September (price displayed in advertisements before negotiation), according to figures from our partner Bien’Ici*. Over a month, prices have fallen by 0.1% and, over a year, they have fallen by 0.9%.

On the rental side, prices are showing a decrease. Thus, the average price of a rental comes to 17.1 euros per m2. For a studio, it will be necessary to count on an average of 450 euros per month and for a 3-room apartment 781 euros.

In Dijon, the population has been growing significantly in recent years. According to INSEE, the city had 159,106 inhabitants in 2020, compared to 153,668 in 2014 and 152,110 in 2009 (i.e. +4.6% since 2009). People without professional activity form the most represented socio-professional category (23.3% of the population aged 15 or over). Next come retirees (22.6%), employees (15.5%), intermediate professions (15%) and executives and higher intellectual professions (11.5%).

The least common socio-professional category in Dijon is farmers (0.0% of the population), followed by artisans, traders, business leaders (2.4%) and then workers (9.7%).

The number of primary residences has increased sharply in recent years (87,113 in 2020, compared to 79,083 in 2009). The number of secondary residences and occasional accommodation is also increasing: there were 1,648 in 2009, they are now 3,327. Vacant housing is also increasing, from 7,009 in 2009 to 7,216 in 2020.
